The last quarter mile...

My bachelor days are numbered..I am by no means complaining :-D it's just surreal. I still feel like a child in many ways and it didn't help today, that a Wal-mart salesperson asked if I was over 18 when I bought a R-rated DVD.

This past Saturday I celebrated my last days of bachelorhood paintballing. It was at Paintball Jungle near Vallejo...my first time playing and I must say I had one of the best times of my life, especially being in good company. It really was a stress reliever as well.

I didn't take many pictures so I am going to steal Jim's again. The splattered paint on Jim's helmet was by yours truly. It was our final game with Jim and I playing 1 on 1. I got a clean shot at his gun and the rest is history :-) I am too darn lazy to expound on other events...just go to Jim's link above to read the rest as he is so eloquent ;-)

EDIT 5/20:

Keane - Hopes and Fears

Once in a while there comes along some music that gets better and better over time and just refuses to let go of you. I've played this CD on and off for the past few months but lately this CD has hit me like a bombshell. But first, can we please stop the comparisons to Coldplay? Keane holds their own and while they're not by any means a revolutionary band, their "less is more" sound really works well for them.. polished but not contrived..some true moments of poignancy here.Posted by Hello

Surprise b-day party for Jennifer at Citizen Cupcake (1 of 4)

Joel threw a surprise b-day party for Jennifer at Citizen Cupcake. Nice place.. Our group had the whole place to ourselves and we decorated our own cupcakes, enjoy some chardonnay, mini sandwiches and some other hors d’oeuvres. It was really nice to meet some new faces as well as get re-acquainted with some ppl I did not know very well before. Jenn + Joel are also expecting their first child together very soon. I'm so excited for them! More pictures here and much better ones from Dave here. Happy birthday again JLT :-) Posted by Hello

Grace Cathedral

After the meeting with the organist I had some time before JLT's surprise 30th at Citizen Cupcake so I decided to park a bit farther away and walk. I ended up bit farther away than I wanted ( CA / Leavenworth ). To make the most of it, I stopped by Grace Cathedral. I've always been impressed by it's gothic architecture. The picture I took inside did not do it justice but you can get a Quick Time panorama of the inside right here. Posted by Hello

E.M. Skinner Organ Opus 477

Viks and I met with the organist today at Trinity. We chose pieces for the ceremony which I will not expound on here to hopefully preserve some element of surprise :-)

When I first visited Trinity during a service last year, I immediately took notice of the rich, warm sound of the organ as well as the acoustics of the church. The organ is an E.M. Skinner Organ Opus 477 which you can read more about here.

Sin City

Went out to go see opening of "Sin City." Wow! For me each movie frame was simply a treat to watch! I just had this huge grin throughout the entire film. Like other Robert Rodriguez films the movie dazzles you with not so much of a plot but rather it's style & visuals...One of my all-time favorite films is "Dark City." I really do enjoy noir for it's pace, darkness and dialogue.

I forgot my camera so I'm going to steal Jim's picture here.
