First stop at the Big Island: Kaloko - Honokohau National Historical Park

We went out to the shoreline to try catch a glimpse of the sea turtles basking in the sun. We arrived at 11am and they were still feeding in the shallow waters right off the shoreline. Supposedly the sea turtles use the high tide to get on shore, bask in the sun for a few hours and use the late afternoon or evening tide (?) to get back into the ocean. Wash, rinse, repeat :-) We didn't get a chance to see them physically on the beach but I was close enough to get a shot while they were in the shallow waters.

Picture with Mele.

Viks made this with the help of Mele. It's a fish, in case it's not obvious :-)
